Both massage and touch therapy are one of the oldest methods of treatment and disease prevention. Even here, however, massage or therapy CANNOT be performed at any time. These conditions, symptoms and manifestations are called CONTRAINDICATIONS.
The division of contraindications is TOTAL contraindications = massage/therapy must not be performed at all. PARTIAL contraindications – massage/therapy must not be performed on the problem part of the body or is performed for a limited time.
Generalized CONTRAINDICATIONS for tickling:
- Any acute, infectious, febrile, inflammatory conditions or period of taking antibiotics
- Statuses “when something creeps up on you”
- Bacterial disease
- Cardiovascular problems
- Very high blood pressure
- Local infection or inflammation
- Cancer illnesses
- Heavy painful menstruation
- Pregnancy
- Open wounds
- Chronic skin diseases, infectious skin and other diseases such as: atopic eczema (with large lesions or scratching blisters),
- Psoriasis – conditions with large deposits
- Varicose veins when they are more enlarged
- Burns
- Extensive bruising
- Abdominal disease or injury
- More serious bleeding conditions (hemophilia, leukemia)
- Conditions requiring bed rest and after recent operations
- ALLERGENS: (almonds, coconut, citrus, jasmine, honey, cocoa, argan)
- After consuming alcoholic and addictive substances
And to them… other specific CONTRAINDICATIONS for tickling:
- Acute inflammation of the veins
- Hyperfunction of the thyroid gland
- Vascular and liver, kidney and thyroid disease
- Heart disease, high blood pressure
- Heavy painful menstruation, pregnancy
I ask all those interested in tickling to CAREFULLY evaluate all of these contraindications when making an appointment for tickling.
Above all, I pay special attention to all skin diseases or problems. I believe that I will not have to ask for any medical favors, whether for example your redness of the skin spots, etc. are infectious and transmissible or not. Thanks in advance.
